Food For Thought Drive-Thru Food Drive

Food For Thought will be holding a Drive-Thru Food Drive at Oliver’s in Santa Rosa! Please help us stock up on essential food items for winter and help provide our clients with healthy food. When ordering or shopping for their own weekly groceries, FFT would greatly appreciate it if shoppers could include any or all of the following items: Tuna, Crackers, Olive Oil. The food items can be dropped off to the Food For Thought team on the day of the event in the Oliver’s Market parking lot (please, no items with expired dates). Donations will be made from the safety of people’s own vehicles. Food For Thought thanks Oliver’s for hosting the event. DATE: Monday February 8th, 2021 TIME: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. LOCATION: Oliver’s Market- Stony Point: 461 Stony Point Rd, Santa Rosa, CA 95401 Food For Thought is a nonprofit organization that provides healing nutrition to more than 2,000 Sonoma County residents living with a range of serious illnesses, and who are at risk of malnutrition. Comprehensive services include healthy groceries (enough for 21 meals per week), prepared meals, vitamins, supplements and nutrition counseling. We believe that food is medicine: our services increase the health of clients, reduce food insecurity, decrease costs to the health care system and improve the lives of hundreds of individuals in need. In addition to our direct service work, we leverage our impact through our collaborative partnerships, research and policy advocacy. Food For Thought is a member of the California Food Is Medicine Coalition (CalFIMC), an association of community-based nonprofit organizations that provide healthy meals and support to individuals facing serious illness, including many clients who do not qualify for other free and low-cost meal services.
