DESCRIPTION:WE'RE BACK! After missing the last couple years the Rohnert Park Fishing Derby for Kids (FREE) will be held Saturday May 28th 8am - 10am. For more information contact Ken@safer-properties.com or visit www.fishing-derby.org. Please SHARE to spread the word.\n\n\n\nSAFETY: There are many concerns with the homeless camp right across the street from Roberts Lake and I have teamed up with the Rohnert Park Police Department and they will have many officers at the fishing derby making sure everyone is SAFE! FISHING DERBY + RP POLICE = FUN DAY FOR FAMILIES\n\n\n\nSCHEDULE: 7AM to 8AM Registration * Of course the Active 20/30 club with have Hot Chocolate and their World Famous Snow Cones. Nothing says fishing more then fishing at 8am with a Snow cone. : ) * Hessel Church suppling us with the Coffee. 8AM Fishing Derby starts 10AM Fishing derby ends 10:15AM Awards\n\n\n\nSUPPLIES: All you need to do is bring a fishing pole\, hooks and bait. If you don't know how to rig up a fishing pole\, just bring the pole\, as myself and other volunteers will help you rig it up. But you are not guaranteed to catch a fish\, that is why it is called "FISHING" and not "CATCHING". But we can help set up your pole to give you a better chance. Just ask the registration table for help with your pole.\n\n\n\nRECLAIMED WATER: Roberts Lake is Reclaimed water\, so you should never eat any fish that comes out of the lake. We encourage "Catch and Release" after weighing in your fish.\n\n\n\nFISHING AREA: NO FISHING ON THE GOLF COURSE SIDE OF THE LAKE. You may fish only on the West side of the lake which faces Roberts Lake Road. When registering volunteers will let you know.
