Health and Safety Fair
The Rohnert Park Department of Public Works and Community Services will be hosting their fourth annual Health and Safety Fair on October 8, 2011. The fair will provide an opportunity for people of all ages to learn what services and resources are available to them to maintain a healthy life style. This year we are fortunate again to have the Medicine Take Back Program at the fair. This is an opportunity to clean out your medicine cabinet and bring those unused and outdated medications to the fair for proper disposal. This is a safety and environmental issue we can all do something about!
Public Works will be serving a pancake breakfast starting at 9am with all the proceeds going back into the community center. Flu shots will be available from 10-2 for a $25 fee (medicare accepted). The blood bank will be on site to take blood donations.
You can still participate in this year’s fair with a display of informational literature, samples or demonstrations so our visitors will be aware of the many resources available to our community. The hours of the Fair are 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday October 8th at the Rohnert Park Community Center, located at 5401 Snyder Lane. Registration forms are available at the Rohnert Park Senior Center, 6800 Hunter Drive, 585-6780 and by e-mail. We have three classifications for registering, A) Non-Profit-$35, B) Local Small Business-$50.00, C) Corporate-$150.00. Sponsorships are also available.
